Day 18 with Jesus
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2
Fast: Dinner, we’ll have a longer fast tomorrow
Pray: National Leaders
God, today I intercede on behalf of our nation and our leaders. Provide our leaders with Godly wisdom to make decisions that align with Your character. I pray that their hearts would be discerning of good and evil. I pray that their decision-making would be free from corruption. Expose evil in any area or political affiliation in our government. May our leaders put the needs of others before themselves and be true servant leaders. Also, I pray that if any of our national leaders are far from you, that Your Holy Spirit would draw them close. I ask that You give our leaders a healthy respect for You, oh God. Give our leaders Godly advisers, like, Joseph and Daniel. I stand in the gap and repent of our sins on behalf of our nation. Help us walk in Your ways and in Your will.
As I see things taking place in the political landscape, I also pray for a national revival and a return to Your truth. I pray against the forces of darkness and schemes of the enemy in my nation. Heavenly Father, help me be the change I desire to see in this country. I declare I am available in my home, on my job, and in my community because I believe change starts with me. Help my be the “Light of the World”, that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 5.
In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen
Prayer Prompts:
- Pray (by name if you know) for our president, congress, senators, state, and local government leaders…
- Read scriptures on prayer for leaders: 2 Timothy 2:1-4, Proverbs 11:14, 2 Chronicles 7:14
Fast: Dinner
Note: Let’s prepare for a longer fasting of food tomorrow; if you missed about fasting, you can read more here.
